Working on WildStar

So, I think its time I gave an update on my new situation - I am working on the MMO WildStar at Carbine Studios in California, filling the position as texture artist on the dungeon crew.

Favorite race - Mordesh by far!  Usually the Engineer class, cause I love bots and pets!

Love the art style and...can't give much away...but it is FUN to play!  :)
Check them out HERE!

Here is the trailer.  The art direction reminds me of a mix between Firefly and Looney Tunes.  :)

And here is a first look at the gameplay:

Portfolio RAGE and HAPPINESS

Here's a shout out to all my artist friends and then some!

I have always had problems trying to find a method of displaying work that does not also threaten to drive me insane with frustration.

I'll face it - I am an artist, not a web designer, and I'm always pressed for time.  It has been a pain in my brain trying to figure this out - believe me, I have tried a lot of options such as squarespace, wix, blogger, wordpress, deviantart and even making my own site from scratch.  Don't get me wrong - all these methods did work, I just wasn't entirely satisfied.
Displaying art in a consistent, clean, professional and poignant manner while not spending FOREVER on layout is not easy. :(

I found them a couple of months ago when I was in a bit of a time crunch for a pass-protected gallery.  If you can relate to what I am saying, you should lick on the link and check 'em out!
Happy creating!

A few concepts...Part 4

So...I found some more random stuff in my  sketch folder.  :)

These were some T-Shirt designs I did for a Theatre group performing J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan.

This is my favorite race because of their rich color palette - the Massariols!

To all my amazing coworkers, artists, and friends who have given their lives for Project Copernicus, i couldn't be more proud of us.  GO TEAM 38!!!!

Here is some beautiful racial portraits by the talented Devon Cadee Lee.  (PS - working on my demo reel in college, I had unknowingly based my "space dragon chicken" thing off a concept Devon did.  I pretty much freaked out when I got to meet him at 38 Studios)

A few concepts...Part 3

A while ago, I did some concepts for a re-do of the Halo Jackal.  The idea was to buff them up a little and give them a more menacing feel.  It was a fun idea to concept, and i'd like to maybe do more work on this.

A few concepts...Part 2

So, it has been crazy busy up here!  The story of an artists many ideas, and no time or energy left at the end of the day to sketch any of them out.  :)

Anyways, here are some sketches i did manage to jot down.  Since i have such awesome sisters, it is common for me to want to draw them.  :)  So there are a few of them here - i like to call these the ongoing saga of the "Gang of three".

Also, I'm sure EVERYONE knows that Kingdom's of Amalur: Reckoning launched this last week, and it has been an amazing experience to watch all the commotion surrounding it explode.  So proud of the Baltimore team - they have done great things!  Love the game, and you owe it to yourself to check it out here!
